Judging will
be in 4 Divisions

Div. 1 Fine
2oz skein
spun
fine (sport weight or lighter)

Div. 3 Bulky
4oz skein

Div. 2 Medium

medium (worsted weight)

Div. 4 Novelty

animal fiber or blend -
must be at least 50% animal fiber

Rules
and Regulations:
-
1. Yarn may be
singles or plied.
-
2. Judging will
be based on even twist, good hand, and overall quality.

3. The exhibitor
must make all skeins.
-
4. The exhibit
will be divided into two classes:
-
a. Adults - 20 years of age or over.
b. Youth - under 20 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2008
-
5. Premium money
will be part of the funds allocated to the entire contest of handcrafted
articles. A minimum of three placings will be awarded in each division.
One best of show will
be selected over all.

6. Entry forms
may be mailed to the Show Secretary prior to the fair.

Late entries
are welcome, and blank forms will be available at the
-
exhibit hall
between 7:30 & 9:30 a.m. Saturday. There is no entry fee.

7. Skeins should
be tagged with a 3x5 card folded in half.

On the
outside of the card list:

The inside
of the card should contain:
-
the
spinners' name
-
address
-
telephone number.
8. There is
no limit to the number of skeins one may submit.
-
Each skein
should be tagged separately.
-
9. Skeins will
be accepted between 8 -9:30 am Saturday.
-
All skeins must
be on display from 9:30 am Saturday to 4 p.m. Sunday.

10. All skeins
must be picked up between 3 and 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

Unclaimed skeins
are not the responsibility of the fair committee.
11. Special fiber prizes will be awarded
to spinners under 20 years old.
